Saturn in Pisces - Part II

A Practical Guide to Prepare

In general, the astrological forecast is saying we can collectively expect a storm of fanaticism, a thunderous clamoring of religious absolutism and even a sprinkling of real, actual storms (Pisces being a water sign I would except we will see natural disasters between now and February related to physical water events – floods, hurricanes or conflict over water related issues). Beware. I believe this winter is going to be a big one. Be like the ants in the grasshopper and the ant parable and gather your preparations now.

Here's a practical checklist of things you should take care of now/immediately:

  • Check your home insurance for flood and water damage, ensure you understand what your coverage includes (for example last year when my basement flooded from the outside due to heavy rain, I quite unhappily discovered my policy only covered water damage caused by internal damage, like a pipe breaking inside the house and was left out of pocket to the tune of almost $4K to clean it up).

  • How’s your rainy day fund? I know setting aside money for savings is hard, but any little bit really does help so you have an emergency stash of cash if you need it.

  • Emergency plan with your family. What will you do if emergency strikes while everyone is at home? What if it happens while you’re out of town? At work but the pets are at home? At home but the kids are at school?

  • Packed emergency bag/kit so you can evacuate quickly if you need to.

I recognize these are uncomfortable and unpleasant topics. But Saturn is asking us to do the hard work of being prepared. You may never need it. But if you do, everyone else may, too and there could be limited or no options for you in those moments. Please be safe and devote some time to these important topics!
