When beetle and its symbolism show in your life in a powerful way, pay attention! The universe is trying to get a message through to you about the power of beetle. Beetle has been revered as sacred by many ancient cultures since recorded history. The Scarab is quintessentially tied to Ancient Egyptian culture as a symbol of sacred cosmic spirit. That’s because the dung beetle was seen as being resourceful and Egyptians saw this tiny creature rolling circles of dung as symbolic of sacred cosmic spirit pushing the sun through the sky. Beetle became an important sacred symbol and feature in mummification as it was included to ensure the body was greeted with welcome at the gates of the afterlife.
How are you being called to move obstacles and turn them into sacred transformation in your own life?
Beetles are also prolific existing in many forms and shapes and sizes all across the world. Did you know that 1 in every 5 existing life forms on the planet is classified as a type of beetle? That is because of their resourcefulness in using the environment into which they’re born to thrive.
How might you embody the spirit of beetle who sees sacred in the mundane and creates resources from life’s perceived obstacles?
Beetles are born with sensitivities (antennae) and focus (instinctual drive) that helps them focus on what is necessary for their survival and thriving. They are willing to seek out whatever is required for the assurance of their well-being. Their life cycle is short compared to us humans, yet they accomplish so much because of their devotion and total commitment to their survival. They undergo a complete transformation from birth (egg, to grub) before they evolve into their fully developed adult form and they go through this change willingly and with surrender to the instinctual, inevitable process required of them.
How might beetle be asking you to surrender to a new cycle, a new beginning and a new re-birth that is present in your life? How can you give into faith and allow the change to happen with and through you?
