Saturn Goes Retrograde

Saturn, also known as lord karma, is joining the retrograde parade until the end of the year when he returns to Pisces (then goes direct in Aries again). Saturn is sometimes also called the timekeeper or the recordkeeper as he focuses on the deeds (or misdeeds) of our lives. For this reason you may feel drawn to working with past life healing modalities, topics or see deeds from your life come back to catch up with you. Saturn gets a bad wrap for being the keeper of the karmic files. There’s a saying, “karma’s a bitch.” But recently I saw something that said, “Karma is a bitch? No, she’s a wide elder that sits you down to serve you the same tea you’ve been serving others.”

In other words, if you do no harm, you don’t have to worry about karma coming back around. Kind of makes you stop and think about the power your daily actions (and this retrograde) can truly have for you. Makes me think of the iocane powder scene from Princess Bride. You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous of which is: 'Never get involved in a land war in Asia.'” Saturn remembers. He doesn’t mess with Sicilians when death is on the line either. Of course he has spent seven years building up an immunity to iocane powder. Perhaps we need to change his name from Lord Karma to the Dread Pirate Roberts?

But I digress. This Saturn retrograde is a good time to take stock of your goals and adjust. You may find yourself struggling to connect with discipline so if you need to refine, do so without guilt. Steps forward at a walk are just as valuable as at a run during retrograde. It’s the movement in a direction that matters. Past life regression, past life readings and any other work that deals with the past, akashic records, etc. would all be good modalities to deep dive (Pisces) during this time.
